Safety Tips
Some helpful tips to keep your food safe:
- Your refrigerator temperature should be at 40° F or below.
- Keep your freezer temperature below 0° F.
- Keep your refrigerator and freezer no more than 75% full to run efficiently. Leave room for air to circulate.
Cook foods to their proper internal temperature:
- 145° F – Beef, lamb & veal steaks & roasts, medium rare
- 145° F – Fish
- 160° F Ground beef, pork, veal & lamb, pork chops, ribs and anything with egg.
- 165° F Ground turkey and chicken, stuffing and casseroles. Any leftovers.
- 170° F – Chicken & turkey breasts.
- 180° F – chicken & turkey, whole bird, legs, thighs & wings
Keep cold foods cold and hot foods hot. The food temperature danger zone is between 41° F and 141° F. Bacteria grows rapidly between these temperatures.
Discard any food left out at room temperature for more than two hours, one hour if the temperature was above 90° F.
Place leftovers into shallow containers and immediately put in the refrigerator or freezer for rapid cooling.
Reheat any leftovers to an internal temperature of 165° F.
Customer Pledge
- I will promptly freeze my Divine Dinners entrees after they're delivered.
- I will follow cooking instructions specified on all dishes. Cooking times vary depending on the oven and the degree to which the dish is thawed.
- I will thaw out my dinner in the refrigerator, never on the counter or in the sink.
- If a dish is not completely thawed in the refrigerator I will increase cooking time significantly.
- Some crock pots are large and take less cooking time. If I am using a smaller crock pot the cooking time will be increased.
- I will keep all dinners below 40° F while in storage and will heat all dinners containing meat to an internal temperature above 165° F before they are consumed.
- I will put a cookie sheet under my metal tray for support.
- I assume full responsibility for the storage of all my food.
- I agree to release Divine Dinners of claims, damages and causes of action or liabilities which may arise as a result of my preparation, storage and consumption of Divine Dinners, except if solely due to the gross negligence of Divine Dinners, LLC.
